Ingredients:
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup Epsom salt
- 2 tablespoons dried lavender flowers
- 2 tablespoons lemon zest
- 15-20 drops lemon essential oil
- 15-20 drops lavender essential oil
- 2-3 tablespoons melted coconut oil
- Witch hazel (in a spray bottle)
Instructions:
- Prepare Dry Ingredients:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, and Epsom salt.
- Stir the dry ingredients well to ensure an even mixture.
- Add Fragrance:
- Add dried lavender flowers and lemon zest to the dry mixture.
- Add lemon and lavender essential oils for a fragrant blend.
- Mix Wet Ingredients:
- Melt the coconut oil, and slowly add it to the dry mixture while continuously stirring.
- The mixture should hold together when squeezed, but be careful not to over-wet it.
- Mold the Bath Bombs:
- Quickly press the mixture into bath bomb molds or shape them into balls with your hands.
- Pack the mixture tightly into the molds to ensure the bath bombs hold their shape.
- Let Them Set:
- Allow the bath bombs to dry and harden. This can take several hours to overnight.
- Remove from Molds:
- Carefully remove the bath bombs from the molds once they are completely dry and firm.
- Final Touch:
- If desired, you can lightly spritz the bath bombs with witch hazel to help them hold their shape and dry faster.
- Store:
- Once the bath bombs are fully dry, store them in an airtight container or bag.
- Enjoy:
- When you’re ready to use a bath bomb, simply drop it into your bath and enjoy the fizzy, aromatic experience.
