Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 03/29/2019
Last Updated: 12/18/2024

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Cleany Corp. and its affiliates, parents, and subsidiaries (“Cleany” or “we,” “us,” or the “Company”) collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the https://Bookcleany.com website (“Site”). This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by Cleany Corp. By using this Site, you signify your acceptance of this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.

1. Cleany Platform

Our Privacy Policy applies to the information we collect through our websites (BookCleany.com, Cleanymaids.com, Cleanynyc.com, Cleanymiami.com) and our mobile applications for service requesters (the “App”).

2. Personal Information

Personal Information refers to information that relates to you as an individually identifiable person, such as your name, email address, mobile number, payment details, and other similar information.

3. Information We Collect

We collect information that you voluntarily share with us through the Cleany Platform.

A. Personal Information You Give Us

If you are using the Cleany Platform to request professional services or contact Cleany, you may provide:

  • Contact Information: Name, physical address, telephone number, and email address.
  • Home Information: Details such as the number of bedrooms, types of appliances, zip code, and specific instructions for servicing your home.
  • Billing Information: Payment details, such as credit or debit card number, expiration date, security code, and other digital payment account details.
  • Ratings and Reviews: Feedback and reviews of the professionals you engage through the Cleany Platform.

B. Information from Other Sources

We may also collect information about you from other sources, including:

  • Your interactions with our customer support team.
  • Your responses to surveys or participation in feedback programs.
  • Your interactions with members of the Cleany corporate family or other companies (subject to their privacy policies, terms of service, and applicable laws).
  • Other accounts or services that we reasonably believe you control, whether partially or fully.
  • Collecting information, such as, but not limited to, taking photos and recording videos before, during, and after the Services. If collected, this information will be used to check quality assurance, to assess safety issues, and/or to address Services-related concerns.
  • For quality assurance, training purposes, or its own protection, Cleany may monitor or record telephone conversations, correspondence, or other communications with you or anyone acting on your behalf. By communicating with Cleany, you consent to your communication being monitored, recorded, or overheard without additional notice or warning.

C. More About Payment Card Information

Although users can submit credit card or other payment card information to pay for services through the Cleany Platform, Cleany does not store this information. Payment card information is transmitted securely to a third-party payment processor, Stripe, through an internet connection protected by industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption technology. Stripe then confirms to Cleany whether the payment has been successfully processed but does not share payment card details with Cleany.

D. Mobile Device and App Usage Information

We may collect information about how you use the App, including:

  • The amount of time you spend using the App.
  • How frequently you use a specific feature of the App within a certain time period.
  • How often you access the App and actions you take while using it.
  • Information about the website or app store from which you downloaded the App to help us evaluate the effectiveness of our download sources.

This data is collectively referred to as “App Usage Information.”

We may also gather Mobile Device Information, such as:

  • Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
  • IP address and browser type used to access the App.
  • Data about crashes, bugs, or issues encountered while using the App.

We may link your Mobile Device Information and App Usage Information to Personal Information you have provided us. In such cases, we treat the combined information as Personal Information under this Privacy Policy and handle it accordingly.

E. Virtual Assistants and Data Collection & Use

We use virtual assistants as part of our daily operations to collect and manage data that helps us provide better services to you. These virtual assistants are located inside and outside the United States and play a crucial role in helping us operate day-to-day. In the course of their operations, they may come across your data and information. The types of data collected through virtual assistants may include:

  • Information you share directly through your interactions, such as questions, commands, or requests.
  • Personal information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, and physical address.
  • Contextual data, such as timestamps or device information, to improve the relevance of our responses.

This data is utilized to:

  • Enhance the virtual assistant’s functionality by improving its understanding and accuracy.
  • Personalize responses and tailor services to your preferences and needs.
  • Fulfill your specific requests efficiently and effectively, such as:
    • Making or updating appointments.
    • Dispatching cleaning staff or coordinating other services.

We are committed to transparency and ensure that any data collected is only used for these purposes and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Data Storage and Security

Protecting your data is a top priority. We implement robust measures to ensure its security, including:

  • Encryption: All data transmitted to and from our systems is encrypted to protect it from unauthorized access.
  • Access Controls: Only authorized personnel have access to your data, and their access is limited to what is necessary for their roles.
  • Regular Security Updates: Our systems and software are regularly updated to protect against emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Activity Monitoring: Screens are recorded, and activity is monitored during all work hours.

Additionally, we regularly review and enhance our security practices to adapt to evolving risks and maintain the confidentiality and integrity of your data.

Disclaimer

While we strive to ensure the virtual assistants function accurately and responsibly, we are not responsible for any wrongdoing or incorrect decisions made by virtual assistants without company consent or approval. Users are encouraged to verify critical decisions or actions as needed.

5. Controls For “Do Not Track” Features

Many web browsers, as well as some mobile operating systems and applications, offer a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting that allows you to express your preference not to have your online browsing activities tracked or collected.

However, no standardized technology for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been established at this time.
